The foundation generally offers financial assistance to families whose total annual income is less than $75,000 and has one or more children/dependents. The Foundation may also offer financial assistance to families who do not meet either of the above criteria, but who have other circumstances, including financial hardship, that may also require financial assistance.

Agreement & Submission

Income verification shall be based on the applying family's federal income tax return for the most recently completed year, as filed with the IRS. The family must list all the dependents on the tax return, including the youth athlete that is seeking sponsorship. If there are separate parent/guardian tax returns within a household, then ALL TAX RETURNS MUST BE SUPPLIED. All tax returns must be hand-signed by the corresponding parent/guardian of the youth athlete. The Foundation may also request additional supporting documentation as it determines to be reasonable.

What costs does the Ballplayers Foundation cover?

Grants help cover registration fees, league fees, tournament and competition fees, uniforms, and other athletic opportunities for qualifying youth athletes.

Who is eligible for financial assistance?

The Foundation generally supports families with a total annual household income under $75,000 who have one or more children or dependents. Families outside those criteria may still be considered if they are facing financial hardship or other qualifying circumstances.

How do I apply for a youth sports grant?

Complete the online application at ballplayersfoundation.com/application. It is available in English and Spanish. Income is verified using the family’s most recent federal tax return(s), hand-signed by the parent or guardian.

Does submitting an application guarantee assistance?

No. Every application is reviewed individually by the volunteer team, and submission does not guarantee approval.

Which sports does the Foundation support?

The Foundation supports athletes across many sports, including baseball, gymnastics, swimming, football, dance, track, volleyball, basketball, soccer, and martial arts.

Is help available in Spanish?

Yes. The athlete application can be completed in Spanish, and the Community Outreach Director speaks Spanish. Sí, la solicitud está disponible en español.
