About the Foundation
What is the Ballplayers Foundation?
The Ballplayers Foundation is a 100% volunteer-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit, founded in 2022, that provides financial support to underserved youth athletes in South Florida so that cost is never the reason a child cannot play.
Where does the Ballplayers Foundation operate?
The Foundation serves youth athletes throughout South Florida, including Miami-Dade and Broward counties, and is working toward broader growth.
Financial assistance
What costs does the Ballplayers Foundation cover?
Grants help cover registration fees, league fees, tournament and competition fees, uniforms, and other athletic opportunities for qualifying youth athletes.
Who is eligible for financial assistance?
The Foundation generally supports families with a total annual household income under $75,000 who have one or more children or dependents. Families outside those criteria may still be considered if they are facing financial hardship or other qualifying circumstances.
How do I apply for a youth sports grant?
Complete the online application at ballplayersfoundation.com/application. It is available in English and Spanish. Income is verified using the family’s most recent federal tax return(s), hand-signed by the parent or guardian.
Does submitting an application guarantee assistance?
No. Every application is reviewed individually by the volunteer team, and submission does not guarantee approval.
Which sports does the Foundation support?
The Foundation supports athletes across many sports, including baseball, gymnastics, swimming, football, dance, track, volleyball, basketball, soccer, and martial arts.
Is help available in Spanish?
Yes. The athlete application can be completed in Spanish, and the Community Outreach Director speaks Spanish. Sí, la solicitud está disponible en español.

How many athletes has the Ballplayers Foundation helped?
From 2022 through Summer 2026, the Foundation funded 233 athletic opportunities and deployed $68,106.76 in financial assistance, and 100% of sponsored athletes completed their season.

Are donations to the Ballplayers Foundation tax-deductible?
Yes. Ballplayers Foundation Inc is a registered 501(c)(3) public charity (EIN 87-3101378), and donors receive a receipt for their records.
Where does my donation go?
The organization is entirely volunteer-run and pays no salaries. Donations fund program services — grants that put young athletes on the field — along with the fundraising, overhead, and outreach needed to deliver them.
How much does it cost to sponsor one young athlete?
On average, a $250 sponsorship helps one young athlete stay in the game.
